He is also the author of early and original audio programs on metaphoric communication and change including: Metaphors of Identity, The Mythic Wheel of Life, Words Within a Word, and Creating Irresistible Influence.
He is the creator of one of the few games, and external instruments for change, developed in the field of NLP, Trimurti – which systematically and systemically expands strategic thinking and action. While developing Trimurti, he also created the Meta-Program change cards and the Complete Erickson card deck. All three are currently being developed into apps.
Modeling by means of focused attention and cross-disciplinary application was the beginning of NLP and is a strategy of genius. The trail of techniques and subsequent developments are incredible. And while these used modeling, they are not modeling itself – which is still to be developed, or at least taught, in its own right. Using one of my modeling tools, which I turned into both a game (to accelerate learning) and a change instrument, I will show how a modeling mindset can leas to elaborating distinctions, developing greater awareness, and make new discoveries in models and techniques. Along the way, I show how 'old' NLP models contain hidden riches, that there are six separate, yet interdependent models in NLP (and that interventions can be selected by a client's pre-existing biases), and that the various NLP language models are in fact one that is used in different ways. All this to show that with modeling in mind, that NLP can become even more.
